HellermannTyton® Thermal Transfer Labels - Self-Laminating
HellermannTyton thermal transfer self-laminating labels are a conformable vinyl film with a white printable surface followed by a clear tail that laminates the printed text when applied to a wire or cable. The labels are UL recognized for indoor and outdoor use with an aggressive acrylic adhesive that allows the label to bond to large and small diameter wires. For the ultimate in chemical and solvent resistance and long term outdoor durability, the 840 white polyester offers the most aggressive performance features of any other polyester label material. With an initial outdoor life of 7 years, the labels have been tested far beyond the published limits and the acrylic adhesive bonds well to powder coat painted surfaces as well as baked enamel and slightly textured substrates. HellermannTyton transparent/clear polyester labels are ideal for marking products where the visibility of the label needs to be minimized, such as consumer products, where the color of the housing needs to remain as clean looking as possible. The clear material allows the surface color to blend in with the printed text. These labels can also be used as an over-laminate to provide further protection for printed text in extreme environments. HellermannTyton white polyester labels are ideal for marking small electrical and electronic components, such as EPROMS’, Integrated circuits, as well as the circuit board itself. Printed labels can withstand the soldering process and survive flux removal when the board is washed. HellermannTyton’s 822 material is designed for use on flat surfaces and can also be used to identify connectors, buttons and just about anything requiring permanent, durable, high temperature and UV resistant marking. Cloth labels are manufactured from a robust fabric that allows for conformable identification to most curved and flat surfaces. The material can also be used as a cable flag to identify cables that require more information.
